Winter quarter is wrapping up fast! Our final meeting of the quarter will be this Monday, March 10 at 5pm. Please note this is not a general meeting – it is a specific planning meeting for the H3 Walk. If you’re interested in taking a leadership role in planning the walk, we definitely encourage you to attend! Otherwise, look out for an end-of-quarter email toward the end of this week with details about how you can help, and about other events/information.
Thank you all for a great quarter! We’re looking forward to spring. And please remember to save the date for the H3 Walk (Sunday, May 18) – our registration link will be up soon!
LOBBY DAY is coming! On Tuesday, February 25, HSPA members will travel to Olympia with Forefront to talk to our legislators about HB2315. Interested in joining us? Please email email@example.com or firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.

Do you feel like this sleepy kitten? It’s week 5 of the quarter, so you have lots of company. Remember to take care of yourself — even though this might be the last thing on your mind when you’re stressed. Here are some great de-stressing techniques:
-Go for a 10-minute walk (especially great for this week on the UW campus! It’s a fall wonderland….sorry that’s not alliterative)
-Breathe deeply (Seriously. It might sound simple, but try it. Sit and do nothing but b r e a t h e. Breathing exercises — or even just taking a few deep breaths — can help reduce tension and relieve stress, thanks to an extra boost of oxygen.)
-Step away from the screen. It can feel tempting to just keep going at it for the all-nighter before a big test, but remember to take a break. Your brain and mind will thank you!
-Watch a viral video. Laughing is one of the best ways to beat stress! If you need a place to start, try cuteroulette.com, where we found this adorable sleepy kitten.
Ciao for now!
Music is an incredible way to alleviate stress. If you’re looking for a nice playlist to relax or study to, check out this one created by our friends from Yogis at UW. It has some great variety!

Good luck on those midterms! You’ll do great! Keep calm and carry on <3
If you know HSPA, you know we love to end our meetings with the Awesome Adjournment — a reading from the Book of Awesome. We love to leave on an uplifting, sometimes silly, note! Check out this video that highlights Neil Pasricha’s blog and book.
