Do you feel like this sleepy kitten? It’s week 5 of the quarter, so you have lots of company. Remember to take care of yourself — even though this might be the last thing on your mind when you’re stressed. Here are some great de-stressing techniques:

-Go for a 10-minute walk (especially great for this week on the UW campus! It’s a fall wonderland….sorry that’s not alliterative)

-Breathe deeply (Seriously. It might sound simple, but try it. Sit and do nothing but b r e a t h e. Breathing exercises — or even just taking a few deep breaths — can help reduce tension and relieve stress, thanks to an extra boost of oxygen.)

-Step away from the screen. It can feel tempting to just keep going at it for the all-nighter before a big test, but remember to take a break. Your brain and mind will thank you!

-Watch a viral video. Laughing is one of the best ways to beat stress! If you need a place to start, try, where we found this adorable sleepy kitten.
